CPTH

Copper paste through hole (CPTH) technology is the most cost efficient method of building double sided (DS) or 4-layer printed circuit board (PCB). A special copper paste is screen printed to holes in PCB to establish electric connection between two layers.

CPTH is more environment friendly than mainstream printed through hole (PTH) technology as it involves less chemical processes. However, its minimum hole size is bigger and hole density lower than in PTH technology. It is also not suitable for high power applications.

CPTH is recommended for high volume applications without ball grid array (BGA) components.

Our CPTH line’s capacity is 70,000 square meters per month (750,000 sqft/month). CPTH capacity can be easily transformed to STH capacity and vice versa.

STH

Prior to the introduction of CPTH silver through hole (STH) technology was the most cost efficient method of building double sided (DS) printed circuit board (PCB). A silver paste ink is screen printed to holes in PCB to establish electric connection between two layers.

STH is a solid PCB technology used for years in white goods and automotive instrumentation. STH is used in applications that do not require dense circuits or high power.

Our STH line’s capacity is 70,000 square meters per month (750,000 sqft/month). STH capacity can be easily transformed to CPTH capacity and vice versa.

PTH

Plated through hole (PTH) is the mainstream technology to establish electrical connection between different layers of printed circuit board (PCB). Connections – conductive holes and vias – are created using electroless and electrolytic plating processes.

Our PTH capacity is 50,000 square meters per month (540,000 sqft/month).

IMS

Insulated metal substrate (IMS) is a special printed circuit board (PCB) material, a laminate, for applications requiring high thermal resistance. IMS consists of metal core and dielectric layer with heat transfer properties that insulates copper foil, which is used to build signal layer of the PCB.

IMS PCB has higher thermal conductivity than FR4 and CEM-1/3 PCBs and is thereby used in applications having high power components generating heat that needs to be transferred out of the system.

Our SS IMS capacity is 40,000 square meters per month (430,000 sqft/month).

SS and NPTH DS

Single sided (SS) and non-plated though hole doubled sided (NPTH) printed circuit boards (PCB) have one signal layer. NPTH DS PCB have copper on both sides of the PCB, but there is no conductive holes connecting the layers.

SS and NPTH DS PCBs are used in simple applications, for example LED lighting and backlighting.
